Increased standard of living? Texas? NO, Texas has very high poverty rates and in no way am I defending California, but remember with California that their problems began under a republican governor. I’m not here to argue about states,? all I’m saying is that I don’t feel sorry for a top 5 athlete in terms or money made last year, it was over 40,000,000 BTW.

Last person I feel sorry for is Phil but, I would do the same thing he is. Saving 10 million a year is a lot of money. As? you can see though tax people too much out of envy and all of them will move and you no longer have anyone to help pitch in with taxes. California is going to go into bankruptcy by the end of 2014 anyway. Have fun with your liberals. Look at states like Texas and Florida with no income taxes. Booming business and increasing standard of living.

Now we have guys that hit little white balls going for walks in? a park making so much money they will never be able to spend it all in a 100 life times complaining about taxes, they should be thankful, while millions of people worry about where their next meal is coming from…these pricks have no idea how fortunate they are, they can? all go to hell. Look at how much Bill Gates has given back and helped others, do you think he worries about insignificant nonsense like this, NO…

The US Constitution is supposed to be all about Life, Liberty, Pursuit of Happiness (birdies) & Equal Justice For All. So why can’t we treat everybody the same way regardless of being rich or poor? Phil has been giving plenty of HIS money to charities too. Do we want to encourage excellence or mediocre? Imagine if we? apply the same California-style socialism BS in PGA tournaments! Will anyone watch it? God bless Phil Mickelson but have mercy on those losers in the sinking State of California!

He has a right to voice concern. Who else will advocate for the wealthy who truly are pilferred way beyond what their fair share of government services are for no better reason than, “you can afford to? be pilferred”.
Fair is fair and we should all oppose unfairness.

  7. JKellyFaceArt says:

Well, taxes are pretty low in America. Move to Europe and pay taxes. He needs to stop complaining? publicly or otherwise.

  8. yankinCanada says:

No one feels really sorry for him.

We should all care if we have a legitimate and ethically defensible principle in use when we remove 10 million dollars in tax from someone. I can’t think of any principle at? work so I think we do it because we deem that they can afford it without them having to suffer in any meaningful way. That’s a crappy principle as it can be the same principle a thief could argue.
We should all pay our fair share but is 10 mil one person’s fair share?

That “little higher tax rate” equals almost $10 million!!! If you could save that much money, I’m sure you would.
I don’t feel sorry for him, I strive to be successful like? him!!!

  10. packr72 says:

All of america should feel so sorry that? someone worth 400 million dollars + has to pay a little higher tax rate

In “Inheriting an Abundant Earth” a simple rule tweak? on inheritance ends up changing the direction and purpose of modern human life! Here’s a fair way to give the 99% the key to the vaults! It’s something specific we can demand. Are we really just this close to having it work right? Break one link, and the chains fall away! Oh yeah, it’s a Ski movie! Watch “Inheriting an Abundant Earth” (“Occupying Chairlifts” 5.0) on Youtube then sign the petition, and share it!!

  12. Chuck Wass says:

lets put the tax rate back to 91? % like it used to be? !…….. phil’s a greedy bastard

I hate to see draft dodgers that enjoy the benefits of being an American cry and whin over the freedoms that he is a beneficary of. I think that a panty waist like Phil should give more to the starving soliders that defend our country. I have? lost all respect for that cry baby.

  14. Phil Porter says:

    Poor Phil,? life`s a bitch.

  15. nextdrink45 says:

Just think, if he moves right next door to Nevada, he gives himself a 13.3% raise!!!! He saves himself about $10 Million per year and I hope he does!!!!
Wish he would have had the backbone to stand behind his original message, but I applaud him for his honesty and his success!!!
Good for you? Phil, now pack your bags and save some money!!!
