A billion $ deficit doesn’t? sound that bad, but what you have to mention when arguing this is when you tax the rich too much they either leave to a tax haven like Monaco, or they just stop producing; “What’s the point of creating a company when the government will take most of my money anway?”

Even if you taxed capital gains at 100%, inheritance at 100%, all income above $250,000 at 75%, ended the home mortgage, state and local, and charitable giving deductions, curbed oil and gas subsidies, ended the private jet credit, introduced the Buffett Rule, ended the Bush tax cuts for everyone else and reinstated PEP and Pease while raising the SS tax to 13.2%, doubled the tobacco tax to $2 a pack, and increased the gas tax by 10 cents a gallon, you would still have a $1 billion? deficit.

This is the second video you posted that on, and anyway I’m pretty sure this show advocates a consumption/fair tax, not a? flat tax

A flat percentage tax would favor those who are wealthy because 20% of 250 thousand, 2 million, or 2 billion still? leaves a greater buying power and a higher standard of living than for those who are making, say, minimum wage. For a person making minimum wage, 20% would reduce their standard of living below a living wage. That doesn’t sound fair. I agree hard work should be rewarded but people aren’t born more beautiful, more intelligent, healthier or wealthier of their own doing.

What’s the difference between? the US Tax Code and the Bible?
One’s a confusing book with several different versions, each filled with inconsistencies. The other is the Bible
